How it works
Kerio WinRoute Firewall is highly flexible so that different groups
of users can have restricted access to different websites.
Every time a user attempts to visit a website, Kerio WinRoute Firewall
instantly checks the ISS Orange Web Filter database to see if the page
is listed in any of the restricted categories. If the page matches the
database, Kerio WinRoute Firewall automatically denies access to the
page. The user can also be prompted with a warning that their activity
has been logged for administrator review.
Comprehensive coverage
ISS Orange Web Filter is the largest web content database with more
than 4 billion pages scanned and 20 million URLs indexed and categorized.
If a user requests a web page that is not included in the master database,
the URL is submitted to ISS and classified within 24 hours.
ISS Orange Web Filter classifies web pages in 15 languages.
Fast performance
Kerio WinRoute Firewall with ISS Orange Web Filter enabled caches requested
URLs in a local database. The master web content database is referenced
only for URLs never before accessed by users.
The master database is distributed at seven ISS server locations worldwide
ensuring speedy replies.
